Optical and frames
Choosing frames should be the enjoyable part. We have our own lab, so your lenses are made here and there is no waiting for them to come back from anywhere.
How it works
20 to 30 minutes, unhurried.
- We look at your prescription first. Your prescription decides which frames keep the lens thin and light. A large frame with a strong prescription is heavy, and you feel it.
- You try frames and we advise on shapes, materials and colors based on your features and your daily use.
- We choose the lens type.
- We measure precisely: the distance between your pupils and the fitting height. This is what puts the lens centered where you actually look.
- A final adjustment when you pick them up, so they neither slide nor pinch.
Lens types
- Single vision: focused at one distance, far or near.
- Progressive: near, intermediate and distance in one lens, without the visible bifocal line.
- Anti-reflective: removes glare from screens, overhead lights and night driving. For anyone working on a computer it makes a real difference.
- Photochromic: darkens in sunlight and clears indoors.
Frequently asked questions
Can I keep my frame and replace only the lenses? Yes, if the frame is structurally sound. We will check it at no obligation.
Do you accept prescriptions from other offices? Yes, as long as it is current.
Do adjustments cost anything? No. Nose pad and temple adjustments are always free, at any of our three offices, as long as the frame is in good condition and it is only an adjustment.
