Our Commitment
Tus Ojos Inc. is committed to providing individuals with disabilities meaningful access to the information, services, and functionality made available through the Tus Ojos Eyecare website.
The U.S. Department of Justice identifies medical offices among businesses open to the public under Title III of the ADA and has stated that accessibility obligations extend to goods and services provided online.
Our Accessibility Approach
Tus Ojos seeks to incorporate accessibility into the underlying design and development of the website rather than relying exclusively on an automated accessibility overlay.
As a technical accessibility target, we aim to develop and maintain the website in substantial alignment with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable.
WCAG 2.2 AA is used as a development target. This statement does not claim that Tus Ojos Inc. is "ADA certified," "WCAG certified," or that every page is free from all accessibility issues.
Accessibility Features
Our website is designed to support keyboard navigation; visible keyboard focus; logical heading structure; semantic HTML; accessible navigation; descriptive page titles; text alternatives for meaningful images; accessible labels for forms; understandable form instructions; identifiable error messages; sufficient color contrast; zoom and text enlargement; accessible buttons and links; screen-reader compatibility; reduced-motion preferences; accessible dialog boxes and menus; captions or transcripts where appropriate; and skip-navigation functionality.
Accessibility Preference Tool
Tus Ojos provides an optional accessibility control panel that allows users to adjust certain presentation preferences, which may include increased text size; increased spacing; increased contrast; grayscale; link highlighting; reduced animations; readable-font options; and reset functions.
These optional controls are intended to supplement, not replace, accessible website development.
Third-Party Services
Some website features may link to or incorporate services controlled by third parties, such as Google Maps; YouTube; Facebook; Instagram; or external service providers. Tus Ojos may not control every accessibility feature of an independent third-party service.
Where reasonably possible, we seek to provide an alternative way to obtain important information when a third-party feature presents an accessibility barrier.
Ongoing Improvement
Digital accessibility is an ongoing process. Tus Ojos may use a combination of automated accessibility testing; manual testing; keyboard testing; screen-reader testing; user feedback; code review; and periodic remediation.
Reporting an Accessibility Problem
If you encounter difficulty using the Tus Ojos website, please contact us. It is helpful, but not required, to provide the page or URL where the problem occurred; the feature involved; a brief description of the problem; your preferred method of contact; and the browser, device, or assistive technology involved, if you wish.
You are not required to disclose your disability to request accessibility assistance.
Alternative Access
If a digital feature cannot be used because of an accessibility problem, Tus Ojos will make reasonable efforts to provide the relevant information or assistance through another appropriate method while the issue is reviewed.
